India signs Deal FOR 145 M777 ULTRA LIGHT Howitzers

According to sources India has signed the deal for acquisition of 145 M777 ultra light howitzers. The estimated cost of this deal is about 5000 crore ₹ and this will help the Indian army's artillery core in areas where it is difficult to use the artillery guns or deploy the artillery guns fast because of connectivity issues like hilly regions of Indo-China border as this artillery gun can be airlifted easily. To complement these guns the army has also signed a separate contract for 15 Chinook helicopters which will be used for transportation of troops as well as of these guns.

More information about the deal is awaited so will update when everything is made public.
